SSC State of the Ecosystem subgroup

Proposed Objective: enhance ecosystem reporting to facilitate SSC decision making

Possible tasks:

  • Short term (May-December 2021)

    • Prioritize current work and request list for 2022 report
    • Review and suggest analyses of indicators/groups, thresholds, etc

  • Longer term

    • Develop framework(s) to use ecosystem information in SSC decisions
      • OFL CV decisions

    • Provide scientific advice for Council's comprehensive review and update of EAFM risk assessment
    • Provide scientific advice for Council's use of SOE and risk assessment in strategic planning
